2816 N High St listing review

This 1884 Victorian property has been very nicely updated and is completely move-in ready! The property is nestled in the Whittier neighborhood and also directly across the street from the Ford-Warren public library. This property has an open main floor layout with a beautifully updated kitchen featuring white granite countertops & stainless appliances. There are 2 sets of stairs leading to the second level, one in the front and one in the back of the house, and also an unfinished basement perfect for storage.

The home currently has no grass in either the front or back yard. This may be due to the time of year but I would have suggested laying sod prior to listing because the curb appeal is so much nicer with grass and the backyard would feel more inviting if there was grass. The master bedroom has a small ensuite bathroom but only a 4 pc (no tub) and the shower is pretty small. The location across from the library may be a negative factor for some buyers because of the limited street parking.

The listing price of $599,000 is right in line with the PSF for Whittier. I think the property will probably sell for around $585,000 just based on the location and the fact that the property still needs to have sod added.

This property has been staged and shows very nicely. Besides the lack of curb appeal with the missing grass I think this is a nice property that will win over many buyers once they get inside and see the interior remodel!
